Only one move can be made each time around the circle. This can be anything from attempting to jump across the ring to hit a hand to running away.
If the hand is hit it is immediately placed behind the back (it has to be the hand that is hit, if it is the wrist the hand remains in the game)
If a player attempts to hit a hand, the one who the player attempts to hit has one move to dodge, this means they can move their arm in an attempt to avoid being hit.
How to play
Everyone stands in a circle facing each other, each person chooses their desired ninja pose and then everyone says: “one, two, three, NINJA”. When the word NINJA is said everyone jumps backward and strikes their ninja pose (see below for examples of ninja poses)
After everyone has their ninja pose one individual starts, it is usually best if you predetermine who will start. The individual who starts has one move to try and hit another player's hand with their hand.(see picture to the left) The person that the starting player attempts to hit has one move to dodge the hit at their hand.
The game then progresses in a circle going clockwise, each individual has one move to hit another player’s hand. If the hand is hit successfully that player places their hand behind their back and that hand is unusable for the rest of the game. If both hands are hit during the game that person is out and must leave the circle.
The game continues in a clockwise direction until only one individual remains, they are then proclaimed the winner and the game can be played again.
